Every year Franklin High School participates in several activities to show our support of the community - and as a way for students to make up time. We have done food drives, helped build Kids’ Kingdom, painted over a graffiti splattered viaduct, painted the “climbers” at the Chamber of Commerce park, as well as playground equipment at various parks in the community. We have painted a 7 window mural of a flag at Wal*Mart, loaded 2 tons of food on a truck to be taken to New York to help feed survivors of the 911 disaster, and made hundreds of red, white, and blue bows that were distributed in the community. We also participated in the Jaycees’ Christmas in Coldwater program and made decorations that were hung on the White House Christmas tree in Washington, D.C. We have helped set up a Gus Macker tournament, painted more playground equipment, held a fun fair for the School Readiness program as well as made personalized books for each student in the program.
