At the March 20, 2013 meeting of the Coldwater Community Schools Parent Advisory Committee, Dr. Tina Kerr, Superintendent of Schools, formally unveiled the Coldwater Academics First Initiative, the components of which can be seen  in this PDF.

The most visible aspect of the initiative that parents will see for the 2013-14 school year is a realignment in our elementary buildings:

• Max Larsen Elementary will hold all the district's Young Fives, Kindergarten, and First Grade students.
• Jefferson Elementary will host Second and Third Grade students.
• Lakeland Elementary will continue to be our district's Fourth and Fifth Grade building.
• Lincoln Elementary will host our Kinder Learning Academy preschool program, Kinder Childcare Center, Kids Club latchkey program, Branch Intermediate School District early childhood services, and K-12 English language learning services.
